Job summary

Cummings Electrical in Dallas, TX is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead field crews on commercial and industrial projects. This role requires strong leadership, a Journeyman license, and the ability to read blueprints, coordinate schedules, and ensure code compliance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman license required or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate with customers, team members and project managers.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, read, and interpret blueprints to determine wiring layout and equipment placement.
• Assist the Superintendent in planning work and schedules.
• Inspect crews’ installations for quality and safety compliance with codes.
• Provide on-site direction, mentor, and train Apprentice Electricians.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment on commercial/industrial sites.
• Understand electrical drawings and perform layout and termination.
• Ensure requested material is expedited and received as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, read, and interpret blueprints, and specifications to determine wiring layout, equipment, and fixture placement.
• Assists the Superintendent in planning work and schedules.
• Inspects crews’ installations for quality, making sure code and safety standards are met.
• Provides on-site direction, mentor, and train Apprentice Electricians.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in new commercial and/or industrial construction settings.
• Capable of layout, termination, and understanding of electrical drawings.
• Ensures that requested material is expedited and received as needed.

Qualifications

• A valid TDLR Journeyman’s License is required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project managers regarding project progress, issues, and recommendations.
• Be able to pass Pre-employment Drug screen and Background Check
