General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the Store, the general operations, and supervision when acting as the Manager on Duty. They oversee opening and closing the store, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation and cleanliness, and executing operational processes.

Essential Functions

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Understands safety as the top priority, maintains awareness, corrects or reports unsafe conditions, manages security systems, and ensures emergency procedures are followed.
• Customer Service: Treats all customers and team members with respect, demonstrates professionalism, and recognizes employee efforts.
• Personal and Store Brand: Represents the company brand, maintains professional appearance, and ensures store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• General Merchandising: Ensures recovery, sizing, markdowns, receives merchandise, maintains stockrooms, and manages merchandising and loss reduction.
• Loss Prevention: Implements loss prevention strategies, safeguards confidential information, and conducts package inspections.
• Front End Supervision and Operations: Ensures efficient front-end operations, trains staff, manages equipment, and maintains customer flow.
• Fitting Rooms: Maintains cleanliness, audits tags, and manages merchandise returns in fitting rooms.
• Administrative Duties: Manages cash pulls, deposits, payroll, and other store administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills, fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, lift over 25 lbs, and perform related physical tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
