Job Purpose

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and executing operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Ensuring safety practices, security of the building, and customer safety.
• Customer Service: Treating all customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
• Personal and Store Brand: Representing the company brand, maintaining a professional appearance, and store cleanliness.
• Merchandising: Managing merchandise recovery, receiving, processing, and presentation.
• Loss Prevention: Safeguarding assets, conducting inspections, and maintaining loss prevention practices.
• Front End Operations: Managing checkout processes, training associates, and ensuring equipment functionality.
• Fitting Rooms: Maintaining cleanliness and compliance.
• Administrative Duties: Handling cash, deposits, payroll, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with POS equipment
• Ability to perform basic math
• Availability to work evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and use store equipment as required, including lifting more than 25 lbs occasionally.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads where applicable.
