General Purpose:

The Area Supervisor is part of Store Leadership, responsible for an assigned area of the store, overseeing operations and supervision when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, and executing company processes.

Essential Functions include:

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Ensuring safety is prioritized, maintaining awareness, managing security systems, and responding to alarms.
• Customer Service: Treating all customers and associates with respect, demonstrating professionalism, and recognizing staff achievements.
• Personal and Store Brand: Representing the company brand, maintaining a professional appearance, and ensuring store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• General Merchandising: Overseeing merchandise recovery, receiving, processing, and organization, and ensuring compliance with presentation guidelines.
• Loss Prevention: Following loss prevention programs, safeguarding confidential information, and conducting inspections.
• Front End Supervision and Operations: Managing checkout operations, coaching associates, ensuring equipment functionality, and maintaining flow.
• Fitting Rooms: Maintaining cleanliness, auditing tags, and ensuring return compliance.
• Administrative Duties: Managing cash handling, payroll, and other tasks assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Basic math skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements: Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, lift, and perform related tasks as described.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads (if applicable).
