General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific Store area, overseeing general operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing operational processes.

Essential Functions

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
  • Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
  • Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Secure the building, including entry/exit control, EAS device checks, and cash office security.
  • Ensure clear egress to emergency exits and assist with emergency procedures.
Customer Service
  • Treat all Customers, Associates, and leaders with respect.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy consistently.
Personal and Store Brand
  • Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
General Merchandising
  • Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns follow standards through coaching and follow-up.
  • Handle merchandise receiving, processing, and organization efficiently.
  • Maintain back stock, reduce damage loss, and ensure compliance with presentation guidelines.
Loss Prevention
  • Follow Loss Prevention programs, maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, and safeguard merchandise and confidential information.
Front End Supervision and Operations
  • Ensure front-end standards, manage customer lines, and train associates on POS procedures.
Fitting Rooms
  • Maintain cleanliness, ensure proper tagging, and enforce return policies.
Administrative Duties
  • Oversee cash handling, payroll, and other administrative functions as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and work with store equipment as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads where applicable.
