Job summary

Donovan Property Service is seeking a dedicated Area Supervisor to lead snow removal operations for the upcoming winter season. You will oversee plow truck drivers, sidewalk crews, and equipment across multiple commercial and industrial sites.

This seasonal, on-call role requires availability for nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. You will hire, train, and plan routes, perform pre-season inspections, ensure equipment readiness, and coordinate logistics for crews and supplies.

Qualifications

• Prior snow removal experience.
• Experience supervising a crew in snow removal or related field.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in winter and under time pressure.
• On-call availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

This is a seasonal, on-call position with work scheduled around winter storm events, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of plow truck drivers, sidewalk crew members, and equipment operators during winter storm events.
• Coordinate and manage snow removal operations across multiple commercial and industrial sites.
• Conduct pre-season site inspections and ensure all equipment and materials are delivered and ready for use.
• Hire, train, and prepare seasonal crew members for winter operations.
• Plan routes and review site-specific requirements with crews to ensure high-quality service and safety standards.
• Perform equipment readiness checks and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Monitor crew performance, provide updates to management, and conduct field inspections of completed work.
• Schedule truck pickups and manage logistics for crew assignments and equipment needs.
• Troubleshoot issues in the field and adjust assignments as necessary during active storms.
• Ensure all crews are fully equipped before dispatch, including supplies such as salt, chemicals, and tools.
• Be available for on-call scheduling, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in snow removal required.
• Experience supervising or managing a crew, ideally in snow removal, landscaping, construction, or a similar field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
• Comfortable driving to multiple sites during a shift.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate between crews and management.
• Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Organized and able to manage logistics, staffing, and equipment needs under time pressure.
• Available for on‑call, weather‑dependent scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation

$35 - $40 per hour. Overtime opportunities available.
