Responsibilities
- Supervises the provision of assistance to person(s) served to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being, ensuring staff interactions promote the rights of the person(s) to achieve an enhanced quality of life.
- Develops and implements activity schedules for each person served, monitoring staff adherence to procedures that promote health care and behavior supports, including services outlined in service plans and staff training.
- Monitors and ensures staff complete all required documentation to ensure quality services.
- Manages labor hours and ensures service sites operate within budgetary guidelines.
- Responsible for client funds, receipts, and proper documentation.
- Ensures appropriate staff deployment and staffing ratios in compliance with regulations and service plans.
- Prepares and posts schedules timely and utilizes staff efficiently.
- Conducts performance reviews, staff counseling, and corrective actions, including work improvement plans and follow-up.
- Provides feedback and oversight on staff documentation, including progress notes, data sheets, and incident reports.
- Assists with reviewing incident and accident reports and participates in investigations involving persons served and employees.
- Ensures OSHA compliance and related training, documenting training and compliance as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business, Health Care Administration, or Social Science, or High school diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant work experience.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or related disorders preferred.
- Experience managing systems, processes, and people.
- Must meet all agency pre-employment requirements per company and state regulations.
- Depending on location, certification as a Food Service Director may be required.
