Trane Technologies is seeking an Area Service Leader for the Gulf Coast region. You will lead a geographical service area, drive strategy, and achieve budget objectives.

You will oversee a team of Area Service Managers, manage safety initiatives, and partner with the regional team to guide hiring, training, and customer-facing projects. The role demands 5+ years in HVAC, 3+ years of team leadership, strong P&L and project-management skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in HVAC or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience managing large teams and organizing work schedules.
• Project management skills to oversee startups and customer requests.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of P&L and operating plans.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean record in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Strategic outlook: grow the business to meet targets (revenue, workforce forecasting, talent development).
• Manage P&L and provide monthly revenue forecasting.
• Interface with customers on large projects; drive service growth with sales.
• Budget control for overhead items (fleet, uniforms, tools, safety).

Trane in Gulf Coast is hiring for an Area Service Leader to join our team. In this role you will be leading a geographical Service area and will be responsible for strategy and achievement of budget objectives for area. The Area Service Leader leads a team of Area Service Managers to execute safety and human resource initiatives and achieve target. This position is responsible for its strategic outlook (1-2 years) and interfaces with customers on high visibility projects. This position leads effective change management initiatives, leads all hiring, training, and safety initiatives for specific area. Typically the Area Service Leader position will report to the Regional Service Leader with a dotted line to the Area General Manger.

What You Will Do:

• Strategic outlook-growing the business to meet targets (revenue, workforce forecasting, development of talent)
• P&L responsibility, provide monthly revenue forecasting, help drive service agreement base growth, repairs/installation/service turnkey growth by partnering with the acquisition team (sales).
• Customer interface when managing large projects and growing service business
• Budget Control Responsibilities including expenses as compared to targets for overhead items such as fleet, uniforms, tools and safety equipment.
• Risk mitigation - responsible for managing risk in service agreements, service turnkey and repairs work
• Oversee the service coordination function to respond efficiently to customers, ensure technicians’ training and skill level is appropriately balanced to service customers, and leverage resources across the area
• Effectively attract, coach, counsel, train and develop all service employees. Drive continuous improvement through company performance management process and technical product training programs available. Ensures that employee skill levels, including customer service, process and technical skills to the highest degree possible for area of responsibility.
• Works with ASM team to ensure margin expectations are met during sales and fulfillment activities. Ensures that standard service work processes are created and followed.
• Ensures environmental, health and safety compliance within service team. Ensures training is provided to all employees to ensure a safe and productive work environment both in the shop and at customer sites
• Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in HVAC or a related field, technical systems (or equipment or skilled trades)
• 3+ years’ experience managing and coaching large teams and organizing work schedules
• Project management skills to oversee and drive successful project execution for startups and customer requests
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills; Deep knowledge of P&L and annual operating plans.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in Microsoft applications. Salesforce experience considered an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• We prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.

$142,500.00 - $198,555.00
