Role Synopsis:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will sell, grow, and support all Castrol HD business in assigned geography through our distributor network and direct accounts. The ASM drives results and performance through the execution of key accountabilities below.

Job Description:

Role Focus: The ASM will focus on new business, account management, and HDNA, OEM, TA field activation as required, aiming to increase profitable volume growth within Northern CA.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Maximize profitable growth of Castrol brands, especially premium products and HD strategic segments, through direct and indirect sales.
  2. Visit customers and prospects four days per week in the market.
  3. Support, train, and equip WD DSR sales force in the assigned area to drive Castrol business of 25,000 gallons or less.
  4. Prospect and develop pipeline in Salesforce, closing opportunities within the territory of 25,000+ gallons annually.
  5. Maintain a robust pipeline for both direct and indirect prospects.
  6. Use PowerBI for effective territory management, proactively overseeing account status.
  7. Train DSRs on prospecting and closing using Castrol programs and digital tools.
  8. Support onboarding of OEM, HDNA, TA, and key accounts as needed.
  9. Manage relationships and pipeline in Salesforce CRM, leveraging digital tools like PowerBI, Castrol Insights, and Turfview.
  10. Ensure compliance with bp’s Code of Conduct, Values, Behaviors, and HSSE Standards.

Essential Education & Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
  2. 75% travel required (50-60% overnight).
  3. Experience working remotely and autonomously in sales territories.
  4. Proficiency in digital sales platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Office).
  5. Skills in value selling, negotiation, and developing large customer relationships.
  6. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.

Compensation & Benefits: Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $148,000, with eligibility for US benefits including paid vacation, holidays, parental leave, bonuses, retirement plans, and health insurance.
