Job summary

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE at ACO, Inc. oversees the TX metro and OK regions, driving sales across the building drainage portfolio.

The role handles leads, projects, and distributor relations from a remote-based location within the US, with travel and close collaboration with architects and engineers. You will lead the sales team, manage major accounts, and work with marketing to promote products while achieving regional budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of inside sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct territory sales performance.
• Exceed monthly and yearly sales budgets.
• Monitor distributor performance against distributor agreements.
• Lead weekly review sessions with ISR & CSR; captain of the sales team.
• Identify, track, manage and close major projects within region.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE POSITION SUMMARY: TX Metro, OKC or Tulsa, OK

To facilitate the sales activities for ACO Building Drainage within a specific territory or region, follow up on leads, identify possible projects, offer support to internal and external customers, develop repetitive selling strategy & contribute to group goals.

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor and direct territory sales performance
• Exceed monthly and yearly sales budgets
• Monitor ACO Distributor’s performance to ensure they are meeting the terms of the Distributor Agreements
• Lead weekly review session with ISR & CSR. The ASM is the Captain of the Sales Team
• Identify, track, manage and close major projects within region, utilizing Microsoft Dynamics
• Search for new opportunities using available tools (Google, CMD, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Prepare and send submittal package to ACO Distributor or Direct Buy customer after a Purchase Order has been received
• Establish specifications for ACO Products through Architects/Engineers, Design/Build Firms etc.
• Analyze and communicate customer/client requirements to the ACO CS, BD or Tech Service Depts. as appropriate
• Provide the Marketing Department with photos & project worksheets for promotional purposes
• Assist with customer problem resolution
• Participating in budget planning for region
• Attend and set-up trade shows
• Train and manage Manufacturer’s Reps or showroom/wholesale accounts who assist ACO to sell product
• Average 60% travel expected per month. If more office time is needed, supervisor approval is required
• Comply with Company policies and procedures

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science or other related discipline or associate degree and related experience AND/OR one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• A minimum of one-year previous inside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business is preferred.

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE OTHER SKILLS :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the level of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as simple construction drawings, blueprints, or requests for proposals. Develop the ability to write professional correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Should possess the ability to compute percentages, discounts & margins.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Access, Excel, databases, and file management. Must be able to create documents and transfer files.
• Key boarding skills of 35 wpm, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft professional programs, Excel, Word, Power Point & Others
• Proficient use of video conferencing equipment
• Excellent punctuation, grammar, and spelling
• Professional phone manners

AREA SALES MANAGER – BUILDING DRAINAGE PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend daily.
• Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations
• Ability to operate a computer for 1-2 hours per day.
• Ability to lift product up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
