Job summary

Choice Hospice is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead Business Development Liaisons and expand referral partnerships across an assigned territory. You will drive growth while upholding compassionate service and patient-centred care.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and building strong physician, hospital, and facility relationships to achieve territory objectives and support the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Healthcare sales leadership experience required.
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales professionals preferred.
• Hospice, Home Health, or post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Marketing, communications, or public relations experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Hospice Business Development Liaisons (BDLs).
• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new sales team members.
• Partner with the VP of Sales to develop and execute territory growth strategies.
• Build and maintain strong referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and healthcare providers.
• Monitor sales performance and ensure territory goals are achieved.
• Collaborate with facility administrators, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Participate in community outreach, networking, and marketing events to increase brand awareness.
• Assist with the development of new programs and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• Promote Choice Hospice's mission, values, and culture through professional leadership and community engagement.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Required Experience

• Healthcare sales leadership experience required.
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales professionals preferred.
• Hospice, Home Health, or post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Marketing, communications, or public relations experience required
