EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years directly related sales experience in the elevator industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with long sales cycles
  • Proven success in B2B field sales, with experience selling services in a highly competitive market
  • Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve profitability
  • Ability to present effectively to customers, lead meetings, and present to groups of people

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Area Sales Director - Service/Repair/Modernization for the Midwest area. Responsible for ensuring the area exceeds sales goals in service, repair, and modernization, supporting sales team development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Focus on selling profitable, executable, and convertible projects; lead growth in service, repair, and modernization sales; foster relationships with key customers, consultants, and architects
  • Collaborate with area leadership to establish goals and ensure staff exceed objectives
  • Implement sales initiatives and utilize TKE sales tools according to strategic plans; act as a conduit for the Corporate Sales Team
  • Support onboarding, training, mentoring, and evaluation of sales staff; collaborate with Branch and Sales Managers
  • Lead Sales Training programs, including campus recruiting and partnership initiatives
  • Drive pre-selling activities such as Lunch & Learns, meetings with general contractors, and relationship building with architects and consultants
  • Review and develop bidding strategies for large or complex jobs to ensure profitability, including participation in bid processes and contract reviews
  • Monitor active jobs to improve margins through change orders; participate in project close-out and accounts receivable meetings
  • Use CRM to track sales performance and participate in review calls
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products and market trends through training and review of updates
  • Support a culture of customer satisfaction and retention, working across departments for proactive service
  • Stay informed about market area metrics such as backlog, volume, market penetration, and staffing needs
  • Implement Area-wide NIM strategies aiming for 100% on-time conversions; collaborate on maintenance conversions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

A successful candidate must be willing to work in one of the following TKE offices in the Midwest: Cincinnati, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Des Moines, Detroit, Fargo, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Louisville, Madison, Minneapolis, Omaha, Peoria, Sioux Falls. Salary range for Chicago and Minneapolis: $137,000-$200,000. Benefits include a car allowance, fuel card, incentive programs, health insurance, parental leave, wellness, 401K, paid leave, and insurance coverage.
