Location: US-Illinois-Remote

We are seeking an Area Sales Director, Ortho who is a proven sales professional with energy, focus, and determination, complemented by well-developed selling skills. You will report to the Ortho General Manager and will be responsible for managing your regional Ortho area to meet sales goals.

Role expectations

  • This is a remote position. Candidates may reside anywhere in the area.
  • Manage and oversee assigned Ortho area to achieve sales goals by providing strategic direction, resource allocation, and customer engagement aligned with company initiatives.
  • Drive growth of consumer memberships and revenue through diverse existing and new channels.
  • Hire, develop, and retain the best talent and team to deliver on regional goals and expectations.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional partners, building key networks within Align Departments.
  • Establish partnerships with local KOL and industry networks and contribute to the development of a localized Align Speaker Bureau.
  • Anticipate impact of local market dynamics to tailor strategies and resources for success.
  • Optimize budgets responsibly to support the business.
  • Deliver relevant SFE, KPI, and leading indicator metrics to enable consistent sales team success.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably managing field sales teams and with cross-functional experience.
  • Proven track record of performance and sales excellence.
  • Excellent financial acumen, analytics, and reporting skills.
  • Success applying a sales methodology.
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain high client and employee satisfaction and to foster a strong organizational culture.
  • Leadership and management capabilities.
  • Results-oriented with strong planning skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Knowledge of cost levers to drive profitability.
  • Extensive travel within the region, including overnight stays.
