Position Summary:

The Area Sales Director – ODOMZO & UNLOXCYT will serve as a critical field leader within Sun Pharma’s newly established Cutaneous Oncology Business Unit, overseeing a team of Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers focused exclusively on our oncology portfolio. This includes ODOMZO (sonidegib) for the treatment of locally advanced basal cell carcinoma (laBCC), and UNLOXCYT (cosibelimab), an innovative PD-L1 immunotherapy expected to launch soon for advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). The successful candidate will drive strategic execution, foster a high-performance culture, and play a key role in advancing patient care in cutaneous oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers across a multi-state geography.
  • Build a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and agility.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top-tier oncology sales talent aligned with the strategic needs of the franchise.

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Translate national strategies into actionable regional plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand imperatives for both ODOMZO and UNLOXCYT.
  • Drive successful launch execution for UNLOXCYT while sustaining and growing ODOMZO performance.
  • Monitor sales performance and KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure team execution of customer engagement strategies that educate and differentiate our therapies with oncologists, dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support identification and development of high-potential customer targets and opinion leaders in community and academic settings.
  • Champion access pull-through in collaboration with Market Access and Patient Support teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Professional Relations to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies and customer initiatives.
  • Serve as a key field voice to headquarters, providing insights to shape brand strategy and field effectiveness.

Operational & Compliance Excellence

  • Effectively manage territory alignment, budgets, sales operations tools, and performance analytics.
  • Drive consistent CRM utilization and ensure team compliance with all corporate policies and industry regulations.
  • Operate with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to ethical sales practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotech commercial experience, including at least 3–5 years of second-line leadership experience (e.g., District or Area Sales Director).
  • Prior oncology experience strongly preferred; experience with Buy & Bill models and immuno-oncology products is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in launching new products and leading through complexity and change.
  • Strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making capabilities, and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and a passion for advancing patient care.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ within the assigned geography.
