Are you a retailer who is driven by expanding a retail network and opening new stores? Do you want to be part of a rapidly growing retail team overseeing a key market for Bang & Olufsen?

As our new Area Retail Manager, your primary mission will be to support our retail partners and company-owned stores, as well as supporting the Head of Retail in finding new partners across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the 3-year retail plan for North America and track accordingly. This includes expanding our retail business by actively looking for new retail partners to open up Bang & Olufsen stores across North America.
  • Work closely with our current retail partners to ensure that we build profitable and sustainable stores that have clear directions with business action plans in place.
  • Work with forecasts and budget planning on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Find and meet new potential partners.
  • Have a passion for supporting our current partners; their success is ours!
  • Enjoy travelling and a shifting daily program – there can be up to 40-50 days of travel annually.
  • Take part in dealer meetings along with conducting training when needed.
  • Participate in events and strategy meetings.
  • Have a “business manager” mindset (Own your business).

What You Bring:

We are seeking a retailer with proven skills from a similar position. Someone with a background in luxury retail development – this could be from associated furniture, kitchen, or other premium goods brands.

Familiarity with high-end electronics and the Bang & Olufsen brand is a great plus.

Furthermore, you have:

  • 3+ years experience in retail multi-site management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business field.
  • Enjoy working in front of people; there will be presentations and other communication needed.
  • Are gregarious, outgoing, and have the desire to give excellent service.
  • Possess great team spirit and a helpful attitude.
  • Can identify customer requirements, meet their needs, and maximize sales using all the resources available.
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills.
  • Can articulate yourself in English at a professional level, both linguistically and in writing.
  • Familiarity with a PC and Microsoft 365 (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Enjoy representing a high-end brand, high service level, and comfortable with smart dressing.

What We Offer:

The Area Retail Manager will be based at our North America headquarters in the heart of Tribeca, New York. There will be travelling involved and expect weeks where location and hours shift. We have a small but strong team in our New York office with most sales functions presented.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.

Location: Struer, Denmark; Kongens Lyngby, Denmark.
