Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking an Area Reliability Coordinator to own and plan equipment within assigned value streams at our Morrisville, NC site. You will drive continuous improvement and reliability through root cause analysis and DBS tools.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventive, calibration, and corrective maintenance, evaluating downtime and parts availability, and partnering with operations to keep planned work windows open.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2+ years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience, preferably at IDT
• Working knowledge of electrical, controls, pneumatics, mechanical, fluidics, and optical devices

Responsibilities

• Owner and planner for equipment within assigned value streams, pursuing continuous improvement and better reliability through root cause analysis & other DBS tools.
• Participate in value stream DM meetings and selected ES meetings; assist in project design reviews to ensure serviceability of new and existing equipment; evaluate downtime impact, maintenance backlog, and parts availability; communicate risks and solutions to stakeholders.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and corrective maintenance activities per schedules, standard work, procedures, and CMMS requirements.

Area Reliability Coordinator

is responsible for you are the owner and planner for the equipment within your assigned value streams. You will identify and act upon opportunities for continuous improvement and better reliability through root cause analysis & other DBS tools. Connects with operations to ensure opportunity windows exist for planned repair work.

This position reports to the Manager of Chemical Process and Material Quality Control and is part of the Equipment Services team located in Morrisville, NC, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• As an Area Reliability Coordinator (ARC) you are the owner and planner for the equipment within your assigned value streams. You will identify and act upon opportunities for continuous improvement and better reliability through root cause analysis & other DBS tools. Connects with operations to ensure opportunity windows exist for planned repair work.
• Will play an active role in value stream DM meetings and selected ES meetings. Participate in project design reviews to ensure the serviceability of new and existing equipment. evaluate the impact of equipment downtime, maintenance backlog, and parts availability concerns; proactively problem-solve and communicate risks and solutions to internal and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Execute and coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules, standard work, operating procedures, and quality system, ERP, and CMMS requirements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2+ years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience, preferably at IDT
• Working knowledge of electrical, controls, pneumatics, mechanical, fluidics, and optical devices

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Be able to lift or carry 25-50 lbs. frequently

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working proficiency in decision making skills; capable of using experience and judgment to perform tasks & repairs when instructions are not available.
• Demonstrates ability to learn, deploy, & document root cause analysis and investigations related to equipment breakdowns.
