Job summary

Meta is seeking a Project Controls Lead to oversee cost controls, risk management and commercial deliveries across Meta’s Data Center Portfolio. This role partners with the DEC Operations team and Site Project Management, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.

The position requires 10+ years in construction project controls, a degree in Engineering/Construction Management, and proficiency with Oracle Unifier.

• Subject Matter Expert in cost management, construction change orders, and risk management.

• Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, prioritization, organization and reporting skills.

Summary:

We are seeking a candidate for a key project leadership role leading project controls operations for Meta’s Data Center Portfolio, which is of critical strategic importance for Meta’s infrastructure growth. The Project Controls Lead is a technical subject matter expert overseeing all cost controls, risk management & commercial deliveries on the program and across multiple General Contractors. This person will be a critical partner for the Delivery(Construction) Team. Leadership, communication, and organization skills are important in this highly collaborative, analytical, and strategic role. This position will work closely within the DEC (Design, Engineering and Construction) Operations team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.

Required Skills:

Area Project Controls Lead – Data Center Design, Engineering and Construction Responsibilities:

1. Technical lead in Cost Controls, including budget management, forecasting, change management diligence / Owner Change Order quality, invoice review, accruals, and risk facilitation

2. Analyze and communicate the projects’ Project Controls Health (financial, change, and risk) to project and Design, Engineering and Construction leadership

3. Identify project commercial risk mitigation opportunities in collaboration with the Schedule Lead, Delivery team, and XFN partners, and drive those opportunities into resolution

4. Support the Preconstruction team in the review of General Contractor contracts & commercial terms, gathering of historical data, incorporation of master contract terms, communication, and management of finalized internal budget

5. Provide support of Areas projects’ cost forecasts, cash flow risks, and variances monthly/quarterly for communication to Site Leadership and downstream business partners

6. Direct communication with Schedule Lead to ensure collaboration and alignment of project health between cost and schedule and overall project risk

7. Approximately 25-50% travel to other Data Center sites and company offices

7. Experience developing and driving actions or operational adjustments based on project controls performance metrics

8. Experience leading complex project or program project controls among a large group of internal and external project stakeholders

Public Compensation:

$150,000/year to $209,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
