Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc. seeks an Area Operations Manager to direct regional operational activities, control costs, and drive growth and profitability in a sustainable manner.

The role provides day-to-day Situational Leadership aligned with Carmeuse guiding principles and values. The candidate should have progressive mining or heavy engineering experience, with at least 10 years in management and a track record leading a multi-million-dollar business unit.

The Area Operations Manager provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the regional organization with the objective of managing and controlling costs maximizing growth and profitability in a sustainable manner. Position will provide day-to-day Situational Leadership for the success of team members using the Carmeuse guiding principles & values.

Basic requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)

• Related Bachelor Degree, MBA or Masters Degree is preferred
• Minimum 10 experience progressive experience in mining or heavy engineering industry
• Minimum of 10 years managerial experience with increasing responsibility
• Must demonstrate the ability to effectively lead a $50MM + business unit
• Proven in leading operational excellence through application of behavior based management
• Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector
• Demonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to travel
