Job summary

CMC provides an opportunity to learn the steel and construction reinforcement industries with hands-on experience across offices, manufacturing facilities and yard operations. You will be trained to contribute across production, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work with a collaborative team to meet production targets, manage inventory, and uphold safety standards while growing your professional skills in a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in shipping and receiving in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated strong management skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
• Strong focus on positive work culture and employee engagement.
• Strong SAP aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitors production levels on a continuous basis to insure employees are productive and striving to meet production schedules.
• Must be able to establish departmental goals, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans.
• Must champion Safety and promote safety by example in all aspects of the operations.
• Enforces all company policies including safety and government safety regulations.
• Builds strong engagement within the team by effectively communicating the department's strategy and goals to the team.
• Develop a daily work plan for assigned crews.
• Responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts and control of all materials.
