Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience implementing inventory control, distribution programs and continuous improvement.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Experience with Oracle or similar SCM systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Support safety programs ensuring a safe work environment.
• Review forecasts and determine labor needs to meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
• Balance labor to operate a balanced and efficient shift while meeting daily deadlines.
• Promote continuous improvement and elimination of non-value added activities.
• Ensure staff training to meet customer demand.
• Mentor and motivate hourly workforce.
• Ensure materials are received, stored, shipped on time and to spec.
• Maintain quality objectives within budget and deadlines.
• Manage inventory controls and accountability.
• Communicate with team to align with organizational needs.
• Modify methods and procedures as needed.
• Recommend policy changes to improve area performance.
• Maintain reports reflecting department effectiveness.
• Set and manage goals for self/team.
• Collaborate with peers and management to resolve cross-functional issues.
