Job summary

Stake Center Locating, a national utility locating and damage prevention provider, seeks an Area Manager, Locate to lead field operations across the 48 contiguous United States. You will oversee workload, drive safety, manage incidents, and coordinate with Corporate while guiding teams in performance improvement and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Leadership in locating or utility services teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform PDR or damage investigations.
• Ability to locate utilities and interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient with computers and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workload distribution and ensure timely site delivery.
• Maintain customer relations and liaison with Corporate.
• Manage IT and purchasing alongside homeowners and the public.
• Supervise disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment; oversee inventory ordering.
• Mentor Supervisors for performance improvement.
• Assist in damage resolution and locate challenges.
• Interpret reports (PDR, audits, production) and support complex locate jobs.
