Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking an Area Manager, Locate to lead field locate teams and coordinate load distribution in the Illinois area. You will manage customer relations, interface with Corporate, oversee IT/purchasing and ensure safe, compliant operations including vehicle inspections and equipment upkeep.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to train Supervisors while handling occasional travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted areas.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and remain drug free.
• Ability to locate; perform PDR or damage investigations.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of work load distribution.
• Customer relations.
• Interaction with Corporate.
• IT and purchasing along with homeowners and the general public.
• Oversight of disciplinary action.
• Inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Inventory ordering.
• Mentor Supervisors for performance improvement.
• Assist in damage resolution when necessary.
• Interpret all reports i.e. PDR, audits and production.
• Assist in difficult locate jobs when necessary.
• Maintain force to load requirements.
• Performance Reviews for staff.
