Stake Center Locating is seeking an Area Manager to oversee locate operations and supervise locate supervisors in a dynamic field. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and coordination with homeowners, contractors, and utility reps.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, a background in underground utility construction, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, including performance reviews and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens.
• Ability to locate.
• Ability to perform PDR/damage investigations.
• Ability to interact with the public, customers, contractors and officials.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Locate Supervisors and oversee workload distribution.
• Oversee disciplinary action and conduct performance reviews.
• Interact with homeowners, public, customers, contractors and utility reps.
• Assist in damage resolution and difficult locate jobs.
• Interpret reports such as PDR, audits and production.
