Job Summary:

Responsible for developing independent account business, emphasizing profitability through new sales and account penetration. Promote and sell company-branded products to meet sales objectives. Support customer service activities for regional and national chain customers to increase market visibility and share. Collaborate as part of a team within the organization, performing duties that best serve the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales territory and customer data to generate additional business; conduct product sampling; plan sales strategies including territory and time management; deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Increase sales and profit margins to meet targets.
  • Establish new customer accounts, determine pricing, coordinate with Credit Department for initial approval, and manage order scheduling and delivery.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service, coordinating with team members to resolve issues. May deliver products in emergencies.
  • Expand business with existing customers via product penetration to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor accounts for credit compliance, follow up on issues to minimize receivables problems.
  • Stay informed on pricing trends, especially on market-driven products, to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
