OnTrac is seeking an Area Manager to oversee all sort activities and volume within an assigned facility area, reporting to the Operations Manager. The role requires leadership experience in logistics and a strong ability to analyze data and drive improvements.

The position is onsite at 2270 US Highway 130, Dayton, NJ 08010, with shift options including Friday to Monday PM or Monday to Friday Day shifts. Compensation starts at 73,920 to 92,400 DOE, with potential to 110,880 over tenure.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years industry experience (logistics/shipping/3PL).
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Strong data evaluation and summarization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong math skills.
• Strong communication and feedback skills; experience with hiring/training/performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, address performance/attendance.
• Lead pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals, safety priorities.
• Manage departures/arrivals of linehaul flows and volume.
• Execute safety training, audits, and end-of-shift reporting.

Location:

Friday to MondayPM Shift OR Monday to Friday Day Shift (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)

Compensation:

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $73,920 - 92,400,with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $92,920 - 110,880. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Employment Logistics:

As an Area Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves:

• GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Your Mission in Motion:

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
