Job summary

Titan Production Equipment, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead auditing of procedures and processes, while fostering training and development. The role requires strong PEQ product knowledge and compliance with industry standards to ensure production quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years in a Manufacturing Quality role is preferred.
  • Extensive PEQ product knowledge is needed.
  • AWS – Certified Weld Inspector certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manages department activities to ensure max quality and productivity.
  • Recruits, selects, and trains department staff.
  • Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees as needed.
  • Resolves personnel issues including hiring and termination.
  • Coordinates with other Manufacturing Area Managers to set priorities.
  • Schedules vendor and sub-contractor audits and reviews.
  • Documents and communicates audit findings to leadership.
  • Reviews failures and implements corrective process changes.
  • Reviews new/updated production and test procedures.
  • Interprets quality policies and communicates them across teams.
  • Interprets drawings and customer specs of moderate complexity.
  • Addresses non-conforming material quality issues with disposition.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, productive work environment.
  • Maintains knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASNT, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, SSPC codes.
  • Supports continuous improvement and teamwork atmosphere.

Job description

Titan Production Equipment was founded in 2018. As a 100% production equipment-focused company, Titan provides a high level of service, quality and capabilities to fulfill customers’ equipment needs around the separation, processing and treating of oil and gas hydrocarbon streams. Titan offers deep engineering expertise and has capacity to manufacture at high volumes in an ASME-certified facility that produces both pre-designed and custom separators, heater treaters, glycol dehydration units, as well as a wide range of other production equipment products.

Position Summary:

Will be responsible for performing: various auditing functions of established procedures and processes to ensure compliance; quality training and development. Requires strong PEQ product knowledge.

Job Description:
  • Manages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the department
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees
  • Maintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Resolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and termination
  • Works with other Manufacturing Area Managers to establish priorities
  • Schedules and coordinates vendor and sub-contractor audits and reviews
  • Ability to document, track, and communicate audit findings to the appropriate department head and Quality Manager
  • Responsible for reviewing component or system failures and facilitating required process/procedure changes to correct future failures
  • Reviews new or updated production processes and/or test procedures
  • Responsible for interpreting, supporting and communicating Quality Assurance policy, processes, and procedures published by the Quality function
  • Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity
  • Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material or components, and obtain timely disposition to maintain production flow
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASNT, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, ASIC and SSPC national codes
  • Maintains an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to the teamwork concept
Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of PEQ product line and/or vessel fabrication process.
  • AWS – Certified Weld Inspector required
  • Basic knowledge with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing Quality role.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High energy, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, while being assertive in a team environment
  • Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision
