Job description

An international general contractor is currently looking for Area Supervisor to join their team in the De Soto, KS area. They work for major international EV parts manufacturer, and they are expanding their facility and need production equipment installed.

You will help manage the production area, oversee subcontractors and employees, and keep projects on time, within budget, and safely in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Before Construction: Help plan schedules and budgets, set up site offices and utilities, and bring in subcontractors.
• During Construction: Check that materials meet quality and safety rules, run daily meetings, track progress, and manage safety walkthroughs.
• Project Wrap-Up: Help finalize finances, pack up site resources, and hand the project over to the customer.
• Education & Experience: At least 5 years of industrial or construction experience, preferably with an Associate's degree or higher in construction management or engineering.
• Skills: Good problem-solving abilities, knowledge of safety laws (OSHA), and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
• Work Conditions: Willingness to wear safety gear outdoors, work flexible hours or weekends when needed, and occasionally travel or move to new project locations.
• This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
