Job summary

Enviva is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a production area, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement. You will supervise staffing, training, maintenance, and tooling costs while managing the area budget.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, requirements include a STEM degree or equivalent experience, 5 years in manufacturing, 2 years in leadership, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, conveyors, RCA, lean; strong MS Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• STEM degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
• 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, conveyors required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure process and product quality metrics are met.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide training and development to team members.
• Maintain a proper maintenance program.
• Manage tooling and tooling costs.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Staff the area effectively.
• Manage the assigned budget.
