Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in West Chicago, IL is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, mentor staff, and uphold safety, quality, attendance and performance standards.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet delivery promises and drive continuous improvements while lifting up to 49 pounds and standing up to 12 hours per shift at varying temperatures and noise levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Active USA state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment with varying noise levels and temperatures (delivery stations outside loading departments).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
