Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Tracy, CA is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates. You will drive safety, quality, attendance and performance, while ensuring on-time delivery to customers.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention and HR, and managing workloads across First/Last mile operations. Occasional heavy lifting and standing are required; flexibility with shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift
• Work in variable temperatures and loud environments, with outside loading areas
• Climb and descend stairs where applicable
