Job summary

Amazon in Virginia is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance across shifts. You will engage the team on site to meet customer delivery commitments and support a fast-paced fulfillment network.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to meet business objectives, lift up to 49 pounds, stand for long shifts, and adapt to variable environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
