Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates in Ohio-based facilities. You will mentor, motivate and develop the team, drive safety, quality and productivity, and work across shifts including nights and weekends.

This is a fast-paced, on-site role with hands-on leadership responsibilities. The position emphasizes ownership, clear communication, and collaboration with support teams to remove roadblocks, ensuring smooth daily operations and measurable

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries and handle/sort packages using pallet jacks and PIT equipment.
• Lead on-the-floor management to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
