Job summary

Avanti Residential is seeking a Senior Property Manager for the Arizona Regional Office to lead operations across an assigned portfolio of communities. You’ll mentor Community Managers, oversee budgets, compliance, and vendor relationships while driving a culture of accountability and resident satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years in property management, supervisory experience, and strong budgeting skills; proficiency with Yardi is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in property management, real estate, business administration or related field.
  • Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
  • 3+ years of property management experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 3+ years of supervisory responsibility.
  • 1+ years managing a portfolio of 800+ multi-family units preferred.
  • Proven leadership to direct all property management operations and staff.
  • Interpersonal skills to resolve landlord and resident issues.
  • Ability to create and monitor budgets and prepare financial reports.
  • Proficient with property management software, preferably Yardi.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance.
  • Wonderlic pre-employment assessment required if minimum qualifications are met.

  • Oversee physical condition of communities to meet Avanti's standards.
  • Walk assigned communities to ensure assets are well maintained.

Wonderlic Assessment:

In the early stages of our hiring process after an application is submitted, a pre-employment assessment called Wonderlic is sent to all qualified candidates. This 45-minute assessment is a required step in our selection process to help us better understand fit for the position by defining strengths, motivational fit and work style. What You’ll Do…
  • Build a productive, motivated, and goal-oriented culture across every community in the assigned portfolio.
  • Lead positive change management behavior and support Community Managers through organizational updates.
  • Oversee resident, vendor, prospective resident, and guest inquiries, and maintain professional relationships across the portfolio.
  • Hold Community Managers accountable to budget guidelines throughout the year and ensure timely response to monthly variances.
  • Review resident files for transfers, evictions, reasonable accommodation requests, medical requests, and complaints; evaluate and implement decisions.
  • Oversee the physical condition of each community, including office space, restrooms, amenity areas, parking lots, and showing units, to ensure they meet Avanti's quality and presentation standards.
  • Walk assigned communities regularly to confirm each asset is kept in excellent condition.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed…
  • Bachelor’s degree in property management, real estate, business administration, business management, or related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in property management required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory responsibility required.
  • 1+ years of experience managing a portfolio with a minimum of 800+ multi‑family units preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills necessary to direct all aspects of property management operations and staff.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to resolve landlord and resident issues.
  • Ability to create and monitor property budgets and prepare clear and concise financial reports.
  • Proficient computer skills that include knowledge of property management software, preferably Yardi.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
  • If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
