Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Chandler, AZ to lead a team of hourly workers, driving safety, quality, attendance, and performance while ensuring orders are delivered on time and to the correct locations.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR to meet business objectives, manage workloads, and uphold high standards in a dynamic operation. Flexibility for shifts and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).

Job Overview

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to customers every day. This role is for an Area Manager who will lead a team of hourly workers, engaging them during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The Area Manager will also play a key role in meeting customer expectations, ensuring orders are delivered on time and to the correct location.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 – $90,900.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
