You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, ensure the safety of the physical plant, and oversee outside contractors when repairs are needed. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a long-term care maintenance role, a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred), and strong verbal and written

Qualifications

• high school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
• 2–5 years of experience in long-term care maintenance
• excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• interest in elderly and disabled individuals and safety compliance
• experience with HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency power generators is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations across multiple facilities
• Supervise maintenance staff, schedules, and functions
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and audits
• Supervise outside contractors for repairs and projects
• Maintain safety standards including inspections and monthly fire drills
• Promote safety awareness and participate in orientation for new hires
• Manage budgets for repairs, maintenance, and projects
• Order and maintain stock and equipment and repair tools
