The Area Maintenance Manager will lead a team of facilities associates and ensure a safe working environment for all.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Support multi-site production by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
2. Develop and design solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors, and be on call for emergencies.
3. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and positive working relationships with operations.
4. Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines, and develop plans to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
5. Ensure all safety programs and procedures are followed, and develop good working relationships with operations.
6. Develop business plans and provide guidance for successful implementation.
7. Help develop, set, and track budgets.
8. Understand and implement safety programs.
9. Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance, including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions if necessary.
10. Mentor facilities associates to motivate and guide them in achieving their goals.
11. Engage in project planning and cost analysis.
12. Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).
• Willing to travel up to 50 miles to different sites.
• Leadership experience and project management skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, blueprint reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance, industrial electrical and controls.
