Job summary

Google is seeking a senior Logistics leader to guide a team of professionals responsible for operational execution within warehouse and data center environments. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Server Operations, 3PL partners, and internal teams managing forecasting, materials, systems, and transportation.

You will drive material flow, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain operations, or related field.
  • 13 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or related field (including 3PL supplier management, warehouse/fulfillment, automation, and MRP, WMS, or TMS systems).
  • 10 years of experience managing and developing managers.
  • Experience managing supply chain activities within manufacturing, 3PL, omnichannel, regulated industries like pharma/biotech.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and measure KPIs related to SLO achievement, safety, and project delivery.
  • Develop and implement forward/reverse logistics strategy aligned with long-term goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, MTTR reduction, and capacity optimization.
  • Evaluate current organizational effectiveness of the Logistics team and areas for improvement.
  • Build and execute a talent development program to enhance team skills.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or a related field (including third-party logistics (3PL) supplier management, warehouse/fulfillment, automation, and MRP, WMS, or TMS systems), driving transformations, cost reduction, inventory optimization, and working capital improvements.
  • 10 years of experience managing and developing managers.
  • Experience managing supply chain activities (including planning, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution) within manufacturing, 3PL, omnichannel, regulated industries like pharma/biotech.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with or active as a Toyota Production System (TPS) practitioner, lean leader, 5S or Gemba advocate, as well as digital tools, AI, advanced analytics and shop floor automation.
  • Experience leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or Demand and Operations Planning (D&OP) management.
  • Experience scaling operations and managing third-party logistics (3PL) labor across multiple sites.
  • Proven track record in removing waste from and improving the velocity of material, information and people flow, as well as Safety and Compliance.

In this role, you will lead a team of logistics professionals responsible for operational execution within warehouse and data center environments. Your role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders, including Server Operations (the primary internal customer), third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and internal teams managing forecasting, materials, systems, and transportation. As a part of this role, you will require material flow and sequencing knowledge, attention to safety, quality, delivery, cost and people (SQCDP). You will be responsible for delivering regular weekly and monthly updates, conducting formal presentations, and facilitating reviews with executive leadership to report on progress toward strategic objectives and outline corrective actions when necessary.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $211000 - $294000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
