BKF Engineers is seeking an Area Lead for Water & Wastewater to manage operations, project delivery, and client development across California. You will guide teams, oversee budgets, and ensure alignment with firm-wide standards while driving growth in the region.

The role requires 10+ years of engineering project management, a California PE license, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and leadership across offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of engineering project management experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Experience in business development and client management.
• PE license in California required.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across offices and teams within the area.
• Lead engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Serve as Project Manager on multiple large projects or a portfolio of clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support growth.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor staff and supervise project managers and engineers.
