About the Role:

The Area Lead Nurse will be a dynamic and influential nurse leader within our clinics. Their responsibilities will involve guiding and inspiring support team members through various developmental activities. As a partner of the clinic leadership team, they will directly assist in clinic performance and health, ensuring optimal patient care, medical quality standards, and operational efficiency.

This role will serve as a leader and a teacher, actively participating in developing and administering initiatives and training programs for the clinic and the broader company audience. As an advocate, they will ensure that support team members have a voice in clinic leadership discussions.

Above all, their role as nurses remains paramount, maintaining high-quality patient care and leading by example.

Work Schedule:
  • 16 shifts per 4-week block
  • 12 shifts dedicated to home clinic
  • 4 shifts in assigned training clinic site
Core Clinical LVT Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with anesthesia, surgery, dental procedures, and patient monitoring
  • Help treat patients and support medical or surgical procedures
  • Perform laboratory procedures and maintain lab logs
  • Take radiographs using hands-free methods
  • Maintain cleanliness and scent-free environment
  • Admit and discharge patients, ensuring they are well-groomed and alert
  • Answer client questions and dispense medications as instructed by veterinarians
Training Responsibilities:
  • Train nursing staff across multiple clinics and uphold medical quality metrics
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding new nurses
  • Support new clinic launches and ongoing staff development
  • Ensure high-quality medical care and conduct quality audits
  • Develop training materials and facilitate educational events
