Job description

Position Purpose:

The Area Installation Specialist (AIS) is responsible for enhancing the customer experience throughout the installation process. This includes conducting technical measurements, assessing pre-existing conditions, and verifying products. The AIS will perform Job Site Inspections (JSIs) to review work quality, conduct service provider badging checks, and meet with customers to ensure the installation aligns with THD standards. Responsibilities also include resolving customer complaints, making decisions to prevent delays, collaborating with service providers to resolve issues, and managing project changes before proceeding. The AIS ensures all open items are completed to customer satisfaction at the end of the installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Experience (25%): Initiate and maintain communication with customers throughout the installation, ensure timely follow-up, resolve questions or job changes, and manage open services and Care Tickets to resolution.
  2. Job Process Management (60%): Manage all jobs within assigned areas and categories, including assessing conditions, performing product affirmations, and technical measures. Conduct JSIs, badge checks, inspections, address questions, document scope changes, and oversee the overall installation experience to meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure timely closure of all services.
  3. Operations (15%): Handle customer inquiries, resolve open services and jobs on hold, initiate scope changes for efficiency, and utilize reporting systems to ensure accuracy and quality of the install experience.
Reporting Structure:
  • Typically reports to the District Installation Manager.
  • No direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
  • Less than 10% overnight travel expected.
Physical Requirements:
  • Involves walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting, sometimes heavy or awkward.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily in a comfortable environment, with exposure to dust, fumes, or odors.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
  • Pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction or home improvement industry.
  • Experience managing residential installation projects.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Additional Information:
  • No leadership experience required or preferred.
  • No certifications required.

Pay Range and Additional Details:

For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington, the pay range is $21 - $26 per hour.
