Area Installation Specialist

Summary:

The Area Installation Specialist is responsible for recruitment, training and utilization metrics for Installers in their geographical area. This role is responsible for the hiring, onboarding and training of all Installers in their assigned area to ensure customer expectations are meet while fostering and maintain critical relationships with Lowe’s Home Improvement.

FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, onboarding, and training skilled floor installers within your designated geographic region.
  • Well-versed in the installation contractor marketplace within your specific market. This includes gaining insights into key competitors, the installer network, and local pricing structures.
  • Data-driven decision-making will be at the core of this role. By leveraging data, reporting, and essential performance indicators, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining gross profit margins and achieving customer-centric metrics.
  • Field visits will be a regular part of your routine, as directed by the Area Installation Manager or Regional Operations Manager.
  • Dedicated commitment to strengthening our customer relations and partnership with Lowe’s and our dedicated Installers.
  • Collaborate closely with the workroom, to help develop and implement plans to retain and show appreciation for our valued installers.

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must involve customer service management.
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write letters and prepare other documents as needed. Proofreads work.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations
  • Leadership Ability – Ability to lead situationally and motivate to organizational goals and expectations. Sharing vison and strategy in an effective and inspiring manner.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills – Knowledge of computer workstations and peripheral equipment; knowledge of database, spreadsheet, email and word processing software.
  • Communication Skills –- Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
  • Vision – Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents and drive.
  • Must be able to drive vehicle as well as meet company driving and insurance coverage requirements
  • Road Warrior – Up to 75% travel
