Position Responsibilities

• Process all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality customer service.
• Safeguard patient privacy by ensuring only authorized access to medical information, in compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and request authorizations.
• Travel 75% or more of the time; based in FL with potential travel to AL, GA, TX, MS.
• Train HIS I staff and report to manager and/or facility.

Position Highlights

• Location: FL (with travel to surrounding states)
• Hybrid role when not traveling
• Full-time, 8am-4:30pm EST, M-F

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 18+ years old
• 1+ year of HIM experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, customer service skills, and medical office experience
• Must have vehicle and driver’s license (mileage reimbursement eligible)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient health records, respond to record requests, and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
• Assist with administrative tasks, train new staff, and generate reports.

Preferred Skills

• Previous production or customer service experience, relationship-building skills, and process improvement ideas.
