This position handles all release of information (ROI), focusing on medical record requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality customer service. The role requires safeguarding patient privacy, complying with HIPAA, and ensuring only authorized access to medical information. The position involves 75% or more travel.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST, based in Jacksonville, FL
• Travel to healthcare facilities within Jacksonville, Middleburg, St. Johns, FL

Responsibilities

• Process patient health information requests following policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information
• Use company and facility software effectively
• Comply with all privacy regulations and safeguard patient records
• Manage and prepare medical records, including digital imaging and document assembly
• Respond to internal and external record requests appropriately
• Assist with administrative tasks such as calls, faxes, mail, and scheduling
• Train new associates and participate in team projects

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to travel regionally (75% or more)
• 1-year experience in health information management
• Basic computer skills, strong data entry, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills

• Experience in production or metrics-based work
• Customer service experience, especially in-person
• Ability to foster relationships and suggest process improvements
