Under the direction of the Area Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining records, equipment, material inventories, and facilities, along with various other support functions at the area headquarters.

Under the supervision of the Area Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for maintaining records, equipment, inventories, and facilities, and supporting functions at the area headquarters.

The Department may require employees to perform functions beyond those described and to modify job descriptions based on department needs. The Arkansas Department of Transportation is an "at-will" employer.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; administrative support preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of local streets/highways, safe operation of vehicles and heavy equipment, basic math, effective communication, multi-tasking, and reading/writing in English.
Physical Requirements: Ability to use hand tools, climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Able to work in all weather conditions, with noise, dust, and fumes.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications: Valid driver’s license; must obtain Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 180 days of hire. Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.
