Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a route-based representative in Dallas, Texas to prospect, open and grow U-Haul dealership organizations within your designated route. You will develop relationships with small business owners and dealers to identify growth opportunities and train dealers on growth strategies.

Maintain and service equipment and displays, manage your route's profitability, operate a service vehicle, perform minor repairs, and participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and grow U-Haul dealerships within your designated route.

• Manage your route's profit and loss to grow through transactions and services.
• Service and maintain U-Haul equipment and displays for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure dealership success within your route.
• Operate a properly stocked U-Haul service vehicle for equipment distribution.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment.
• Arrange for recovery of lost, stolen or abandoned equipment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Job description

• Work with small businesses within your designated route to prospect, open and grow the U-Haul dealership organization.
• Develop and manage business relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships to provide professional insight into local markets and the ability to train and educate dealers on areas for potential growth.
• Manage your route's profit and loss through careful analysis to effectively grow your route through transactions by providing products and services to the communities you serve.
• Service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays to ensure operational excellence and marketability.
• Work with support staff to ensure the success of U-Haul dealerships within your route with efficiency.
• Operate a properly stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle that will be used to properly distribute equipment throughout your route.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment.
• Arrange for the recovery of lost, stolen or abandoned U-Haul equipment.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner
