Job summary

HDR is seeking an Area Electrical Business Class Lead in Chicago. The role focuses on leading the Illinois/Indiana Building Engineering Services electrical team with emphasis on technical excellence, recruiting, and staff development.

Responsibilities include collaboration with market sector leaders, client engagement, and participation in marketing, planning, proposals and interviews to strengthen HDR's electrical practice across commercial, civic, industrial, federal and mission critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field required.
• 10 years of experience required.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Maintains professional engineering registration and related technical experience.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Illinois/Indiana Building Engineering Services electrical engineering team.
• Collaborate with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in key markets.
• Engage with clients and community stakeholders.
• Involve in marketing, planning, proposals, and interviews in key markets.
• Promote HDR and our Electrical Engineering practice within the engineering community.
• Act as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis
