Purpose

The Area Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing (supervision and coordination) all daily multi‑discipline construction activities on site for topside module fabrication, integration, system/sub‑system MC and PCC, COW and Punches, and other specific jobs with complexity. The role facilitates effective communication between various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project HSSE, quality and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Review area/module construction methods, priorities and schedule.
  • Review the system/sub‑system division and coordinate the system/sub‑system MC and PCC.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities by providing strong leadership.
  • Develop and maintain short‑term (look‑ahead) schedules and trackers.
  • Ensure teams are working according to schedule and plan.
  • Direct and supervise site personnel (supervisors, etc.).
  • Track and report daily progress.
  • Enforce job site quality and mitigate re‑works.
  • Enforce job site safety and company HSSE requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise on construction techniques to site teams, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve construction performance and reduce non‑productive time.
  • Coordinate the interface and priorities between disciplines to solve construction issues, follow up on status and progress to meet the schedule.
  • Ensure lessons learnt are captured and understand the impact of changes within and across project system boundaries.
Education
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with knowledge of construction principles and processes, and HSSE regulations.
Experience
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry, combined with strong understanding of construction & commissioning processes in the relevant discipline and practical knowledge gained managing and leading teams to ensure smooth operations on site.
