Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking an Area Chief of Staff to lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians across multiple hospitals, driving culture, quality care, and hospital performance within Banfield's six domains of quality.

The role is 100% hospital-based as a working manager, requiring strategic leadership, clinician mentorship, and collaboration with Practice Managers to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable care across the network.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Act as Responsible Veterinarian for Veterinary and Pharmacy Board Permits, as required by federal, state, or local law.
• Own doctor engagement and retention by assessing risk and creating a culture of community and engagement.
• Provide effective medical leadership to hospital teams in partnership with practice managers.
• Validate clinical skillset and alignment with quality standards through reviews and audits.
• Spend time in clinical role as needed; this is a 100% hospital-based working manager role.
