Overview

Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel, and recognize the maintenance staff at each hotel.
- Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling within a set department budget at each hotel.
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of the hotels and inspect work completed by others to ensure quality and standards are met.
- Troubleshoot various technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.
- Oversee safety programs and key control at each hotel.
- Greet and assist guests with all requests. Proactively develop relationships with long-term and repeat guests to foster loyalty and high satisfaction.
- Support the goals of each hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and 1 year of related management experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills required.
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
- Comply with InnVentures standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize productivity efforts, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Handle problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
- Understand and evaluate complex information and data from various sources to meet objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
