Description

Our client in the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) industry is seeking an Area Business Manager to join their sales team in California. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies. This position is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with a proven track record of success in the DEF, fuel, or oil/lubricant industries. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, combined with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing company known for its quality products and reliable supply chain.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and profitability goals
  2. Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers
  3. Identify and pursue potential new customers to expand market share
  4. Sell products to distributors and end users
  5. Build relationships through regular engagements, face-to-face meetings, & cold calling
  6. Plan and organize your weekly schedule for customer visits
  7. Research market trends and monitor competitor activities
  8. Provide outstanding customer service by resolving issues efficiently
  9. Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  10. Develop and nurture professional networks
  11. Create and manage sales presentations tailored to customer needs
  12. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of outside sales experience is required
  2. 2+ years of experience in the DEF, oil & lubricant, or fuel industries required
  3. Proven ability to generate leads & grow sales is required
  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills is required
  5. Willingness to travel regularly within the state of California for customer visits is required
